about

During the beginning of quarantine my husband and I decided to work on a Doris Day cover called "Send Me No Flowers." It was written by legendary composer/arranger Burt Bacharach & lyricist David Hal and was the title track to the 1964 film Send Me No Flowers starring Ms. Day and Rock Hudson. With the help of some talented musician friends, Osmar Okuma (bass) and Zac Burgenbauch (guitar) we put our own modern spin to this very upbeat '60s song. This song means so much to me especially now because it's about wanting to be with someone rather than receiving gifts. This song takes on a very poignant meaning especially living through pandemic times. While gifts are great, we just want to be able to see and hold our loved ones.
